NEW YEAR'S EVE

Enjoy a light afternoon tea buffet in the lounge from 2pm. Then retire to your room after a quick stroll along the beach and get ready for an evening of elegance and style. Our New Year’s Eve celebration focuses on the pleasures of fine food, fantastic wines and good company. The White Lion is a wonderful venue in which to end the old year and welcome in the new. The highlight of our festive break is our superb New Year’s Eve banquet. The gastronomic delights begin with a Champagne and canapé reception at 7pm. A banquet-style, 8-course dinner will be served, with excellent wines available for purchase throughout the evening. This is an ideal opportunity for all lovers of food and wine to indulge, dance and welcome in 2013 with a sense of occasion. We will have a piper to see in the new year. At 1am we invite all our guests to join us for the 2nd annual lantern parade as we are joined by our piper and we set off 100 lanterns across the open sea. (Black tie optional).

NEW YEAR'S DAY

For our resident guests, enjoy a Bucks Fizz breakfast served in the Brasserie from 8 to 10am. The day is then your own to enjoy as you wish. Perhaps a stroll along the beach to Thorpeness, a potter in the busy Aldeburgh high street or simply kick back and relax in Hotel lounge and let us pamper you. In the evening it’s the informail fun of fabulous food and relaxing music in the Bar & Brasserie, where you can unwind and enjoy a sumptuous 3-course dinner.
